Wudaokou

: A bustling epicenter of University life in Beijing. Students from the nearby elite universities invigorate the neighborhood giving life to a diverse food scene and dynamic nightlife.

The Community: An eclectic mix of newcomers to Beijing and long-time local residents. The neighborhood is famously known for its student population from nearby schools Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Language and Culture University and others.

Apart from its vibrant student community, the neighborhood is brimming with local shopkeepers, working professionals and families creating a dynamic mix of foreign and local culture.

Wudaokou is also famously called “Little Korea” for its large Korean population and countless Korean-influenced restaurants. The neighborhood is home to some of the most authentic Korean cuisine in Beijing.

Many middle-class Chinese families live here to allow their children to attend the premier grade schools near Wudaokou that feed directly into the surrounding elite universities, such as Tsinghua and Peking University.
